Lomandra Lime Tuff is a selected species
of Lomandra longifolia x confertifolia subp. pallida. Lime Tuff
is a tufted, compact grass like plant selected for its lush lime
foliage and is a proven tough form of Lomandra. Lime Tuff has
been growing in Bushland Flora’s garden for over 10 years and
has outperformed other selected Lomandra species. Lime Tuff’s
outstanding performance has been proven in frost, full sun, and
in shaded areas were conditions can be harsh and dry especially
under established trees were there is little moisture. This form
of Lomandra has a superior adaptability to cope in many conditions
and locations and is the preferred choice by the Landscape and
Lime Tuff grows to a height of 0.3 - 0.5m and has a spread of
0.3 - 0.5m making it excellent as a specimen plant; or it can
also be planted on mass for erosion control. This Lomandra is
excellent to use for contrast low level plantings where height
restrictions are required in urban streetscapes; or for under
street trees where conditions are tough. Lime Tuff can be used
to create borders; or for understorey planting in the home garden.
